ITINERARY IN BRIEF
Day 01 Arrival in Hanoi – Visit Tam Coc – Biking in Hoa Lu – Hanoi (B/L)
Welcome to Noi Bai Airport and transfer to Hanoi. Head to Ninh Binh for a rowing boat trip thru long karst grottoes and river landscape. Visit ancient capital Hoa Lu with temples. Overnight Hanoi.
Day 02 Hanoi visit - Lao Cai train (B/L/D)
Full day city tour with visit to Ho Chi Minh Complex, the One-Pillar Pagoda, Temple of Literature and the Old Quarter. Afternoon visit Museum of Ethnology and enjoy a show of Water Puppetry. Night train to Lao Cai. Overnight on the train.
Day 03 Lao Cai - Sapa – Villages (B/L)
Discover Sapa with Sapa market, Dragon Peak with panorama of Sapa. Hiking to a hill tribal villages. Overnight Sapa.
Day 04 Sapa – Bac Ha Hill Tribal Market – Lao Cai (B/L/D)
Transfer from Sapa to Bac Ha and join a market of hill tribes surrounding Bac Ha, held weekly as their cultural meeting point. Night train from Lao Cai to Hanoi. Overnight on the Train.
Day 05 Hanoi – Halong – Overnight Onboard (B/L/D)
Short circle tour surrounding Hoan Kiem Lake before going to Halong Bay with stop at Bat Trang Ceramic village (Private vehicle). Boat cruise on Halong bay, a Unesco World Heritage with thousands rocks, beaches and hollow islets. Dinner and overnight on the boat.
Day 06 Halong boat trip – Hanoi (B/L)
Continue to visit the bay or go swimming. Back to Hanoi. At leisure in the rest of the day. Overnight Hanoi.
Day 07 Hanoi – Da Nang – Hoi An (B/L)
Morning flight to Danang, transfer to Hoi An with stop at Cham museum. Walking tour around Hoian ancient town inclusive of visits to Japanese Bridge, Chinese Assembly Halls, Trading Houses and Pagodas. Overnight in Hoian.
Day 08 Hoian – Hue (B/L)
Transfer to Hue ancient capital. Visit the Royal Citadel, Forbidden City, Hue Royal Museum, Dong Ba market and Tomb of King Tu Duc. Overnight in Hue.
Day 09 Hue (B/L)
Full day discover Hue with boat trip on the Perfume River, visit Thien Mu pagoda and Tomb of King Minh Mang. Lunch in a garden house. Overnight in Hue.
Day 10 Hue – Saigon (B/L)
Morning flight to Saigon. Enjoy the highlights of Saigon inclusive of the China Town, Thien Hau pagoda, Binh Tay market. Visit the Reunification Palace, colonial-styled constructions and Ben Thanh night market. Overnight in Saigon.
Day 11 Saigon – Mekong Delta (My Tho) - Saigon (B/L)
Discover Mekong river delta by boat trip along the river with stop at gardens of tropical fruits. Visit farms and orchards. Enjoy Folk music during Lunch time. Back to Saigon for overnight.
Day 12 Saigon – Tay Ninh – Cu chi Tunnel - Saigon (B/L)
Visit Tayninh, the centre of Caodaism, a local sect of Buddhism and join their daily ceremony. On the way back to Saigon visit Cu Chi Tunnels, a memorial of the Vietnam War. Overnight in Saigon.
Day 13 Saigon – Siem Reap (Angkor Thom) (B/L/D)
Flight to Siemreap, afternoon visit the ancient city of Angkor Thom with Bayon temple, Elephant Terrace, the Terrace of the Leper King and view the sunset over Angkor at Phnom Bakheng or Pre Rup. Dinner with Apsara show. Overnight in Siem Reap.
Day 14 Siem Reap (Angkor Wat) (B/L)
Full day discover Angkor starting with the sunrise at Angkor Wat. Visit Ta Prohm temple, Takeo, Thommanon, Chau Say Tevoda temples and Sra Srang lake. Back to Siemreap for overnight.
Day 15 Siemreap at leisure (B)
Free to discover Angkor and Siemreap suburb. Overnight Siemreap.
Day 16 Siemreap Departure (B)
At leisure before transfer to airport for departure. End of services.
